The addition of hyaluronidase to the fluid may reduce the viscosity of synovial fluid. Increasing consideration has been given to performing testis-sparing surgery for benign testicular tumors. Theoretically, the development of such protocols is augmented by sufficiently powered multicenter studies, but in view of the small number of pediatric kidney transplants performed at any given time, and given the increasing number of drugs and drug combinations available, such studies are difficult to set up and perform.
